Exactly what you would expect

First, the price on these are right. Currently Amazon is selling the set for $13.

Second, they work. You can't ask for more. Low price and it does the job.

Now add in the fact that both are high quality cables and feel pretty rugged, and you have an amazing deal from Amazon.

Comparing the HDMI to the Monoprice cable I have, the Amazon cable doesn't have the crazy jacket that the Monoprice I bought does (think I bought in wall cables like an idiot), but both provide flawless picture and sound through my AV Receiver to my TV. The Amazon cable has better friction with the input on the TV, meaning it isn't as easy to pull out of the jack as the Monoprice does. Of course, once you have the system setup and the cable plugged in, you aren't likely to move it much if at all anyway, so the chance of you unplugging the Monoprice is low anyway. Amazon does have the advantage there

Will this HDMI cable stand up to the rigors of the Monster Cable tests for throughput? I don't know, but for me, it doesn't matter. The testing is really mostly only relevant for longer runs; for a 6.5 ft HDMI cable you don't really have that issue.

The Toslink (optical) cable works just as well as the Monster Cable optical cable I bought 7 years ago does and it was MUCH cheaper ($50 for the Monster optical w/o the HDMI). Definitely worth the price.

The frustration free packaging is just that, frustration free.

Great cables at a great price. Don't hesitate to pick these up if you need a pair.

Just as good as any HDMI cable but $25 cheaper. And you get two!

There is a great myth about it being necessary to buy $100+ hdmi cables. The expensive ones are supposedly better quality and have better jacketing. The truth is that hi-speed hdmi cables with ethernet are exactly the same. Sure, the expensive cables may have better materials and better quality control, and they may have better jackets. However, AmazonBasics has not let me down! Their hdmi cables are as good as my MonsterCables which costed me $80 when I first bought my 1080p/240hz lcd screen. I bought an AmazonBasics cable when I bought another flat screen and had no issues with the picture quality or refresh rate. I played on my PS3 and watched bluray videos just fine. And, the jacketing on that first pair of AmazonBasics hmdi cable I bought was ten times better and only cost me $8. Unless you're a videophile who owns a $5,000+ flat screen and have the most expensive equipment that money can buy, then you would probably be happier with a really expensive cable, although, it would just be as overpriced as all the other stuff you have purchased in the past. AmazonBasics is the way to go for cables!

PERFECT for a PS3 and XBOX 360

I happen to own a Xbox 360 and now a PS3 and boy these HDMI cables work like magic. Just about the right price, a rigid build and most of all it delivers the 1080p in the PS3. I just stack my gaming consoles in the TV stand and dont move them around a lot, So the cables are perfect for me. Im giving it five star for price and performance. Cant get any better!!!! I would recommend buying two cables together, for the best deal.
